The aakf worm is a black or grey creature about four meters long. Its mouth opening is surrounded by a bundle of ten tentacles, each roughly a meter long. It lives in mines and dark caves, creeps through the passages and devours everything alive. It prefers "warm" food, but will also eat insects, plants or miners' equipment.

It is blind; it finds its way with its tentacles, which feel the path ahead, and it senses the warmth of living beings. It recoils from light. It reproduces by division: a severed part of the body comes to life within three days as a new aakf, and the original body grows back.

Combat

The aakf fights with its tentacles, whose hit briefly paralyzes the victim. It is too stupid to be afraid and never flees from battle. As soon as it knocks down or paralyzes its first victim, it pounces on it and starts devouring it. Well-armored characters it leaves unnoticed.
