The gwanga is a nasty carnivorous plant that can move fairly quickly. It spews spores that paralyze its victim, and then it sucks its blood.

It grows mainly in jungles, but it can also wander onto the plains. Without blood it grows more slowly, but it survives without trouble. It is most aggressive in the dry season, when it replenishes its water from its victims.
