The horse has been a domestic animal since time immemorial. It helps in the fields and with heavy work and serves as a riding animal; some horses are trained for combat, and wild horses also live in the wild. An ordinary horse costs a few gold pieces, the best ones up to a hundred.

Riding and Draft Horses

The advantage of a riding horse is speed; it is used to carry people or to pull a light carriage. Draft horses are used in agriculture, for pulling wagons or hauling timber. They are stronger and tougher, but slower, and also cheaper.

Wild Horses

Herds of wild horses live where civilization has not reached. They are led by the strongest stallion; foals are in the middle of the herd, around them the mares, and the stallions on the edge. Catching, taming and training a wild horse is an easy road to wealth for the locals.

War Horses

Especially strong horses trained for combat can carry a rider in full armour, have great endurance, do not shy and obey every word. They cost several dozen gold pieces. In combat they are faster and can attack actively, even by trampling an opponent.

Combat

Horses themselves hardly ever fight and under normal circumstances run away. In need they kick or trample an opponent, which is a powerful weapon of the whole herd.
