The hungry vine is a dangerous carnivorous climbing plant that can be found from primeval forests to ordinary woods. It lives like a normal plant on light and water, but it also feeds on animals and on anything that comes within its reach. It reproduces by roots or by shooting out seeds, which are a welcome ingredient for alchemists.

Combat

The vine lurks patiently and is almost indistinguishable from the surrounding vegetation, so it usually surprises a passing victim. Suddenly it seizes it, entwines it and strangles it; it can also bite. Each stem fights as a separate creature, but in one place there are usually at most ten of them.
