The Leech Shuddery is a very unpleasant and dangerous creature that lives in swamps and murky waters. There are often up to ten of them in one place, and they throw themselves on a victim together. Unlike ordinary leeches it does not attach itself only in water: it can unexpectedly leap out and quickly latch on.

As soon as it wounds a victim, it starts rapidly sucking its blood and keeps sucking even after the victim's death. It can be torn off only with great strength or by wrestling, and even then it wounds the victim again, because it rips out flesh along with it.
