The wasteland lion has a yellow-brown coat that camouflages it well in its environment. Males are bigger than females and have a mighty mane around the neck.

Lions live in sun-scorched steppes and savannas, preferably near waters and watering holes, where they wait for antelopes and zebras. During the day they rest; the females set out to hunt at dusk. Outside the mating season, when the males fight each other fiercely, lions are tolerant and live in large family prides. You can also meet loners or a small group of males driven out of a pride.

Combat

Lionesses hunt in groups and are very successful at it. If a lion has the chance, it opens with a leap that knocks the victim to the ground, and then bites it to death.
