The Mirocus was once created by an ancient sorcerer to protect his artifacts from thieving hands. It is a magical being in the form of a chest that stays still until someone opens the lid. Then sharp teeth spring out of it and it immediately bites the daredevil who disturbed it. Its attack is so unexpected that it usually surprises the first intruder and kills him on the spot. In addition, it releases poison gas on everyone nearby.
