Necromancers of great talent and power can animate even the skeleton of a dragon itself and force it to serve them. Dragons live long and are full of magical power, so even their skeleton carries part of their memories and might, although it cannot cast spells or wield the dragon gaze. Such a dragon serves as a display of its master's power and prestige and, of course, as a very dangerous guardian.
It is, however, such a great desecration of the remains of these legendary creatures that the dragons themselves punish it mercilessly.
Combat
The Skeleton Dragon is a terrible opponent, because it has no instinct for self-preservation, no vital spots and no weaknesses. On the other hand it wields no special power, and so it is not invincible.
