A Swarm Devil is created by a spell that binds insects, for example wasps, into the shape of a figure. It is not an independent creature, but merely a manifestation of a powerful spell or magical phenomenon. Ordinary weapons are powerless against it; fire (for example a torch) or thick smoke works at least a little. The more the swarm is damaged, the smaller it gets, until finally the remaining wasps scatter in all directions and the spell ends.
