Trolls are giants about five meters tall. They vaguely resemble humans, but have grey skin. They mostly live high in the mountains, but sometimes they come down to the lowlands, where they ambush travelers, and if there are more of them, they will attack even small villages. Troll women have up to ten young, of which one or two survive. They are immensely vain and you can recognize them by the ribbons in their hair.

They go hunting at night, because they see excellently in the dark and do not like daylight. The main motive of their behavior is grub: an adult troll easily eats half a cow at one sitting, but it likes human flesh best, always roasted. In its lair it hoards valuables and equipment of ambushed travelers, including weapons and armor, which trolls do not use themselves.

Combat

Trolls are slow-witted and always act simply and directly, but in a fight with a club few can match them. Thanks to their enormous strength they hurl large boulders and swing heavy clubs. Their wounds heal very quickly, which is related to their not entirely natural origin.
