Just as the bodies of fallen people can be reanimated, dead animals can also be returned to motion by dark magic. Undead animals are, however, fairly rare, because their minds lack the reason needed to carry out more complex orders, and most necromancers therefore create them only exceptionally.
In their abilities they generally resemble their living counterparts, but they lack pain, fear and the instinct of self-preservation. Their bodies move only by the power of a curse or necromancy, which drives them forward regardless of their wounds.
An undead animal does not attack out of hunger in the true sense of the word, but out of a twisted instinct rooted in the reanimated remains. It is driven by a blind desire to tear, kill and destroy every living thing it comes across. They fight until completely destroyed, without retreating or showing any sign of fatigue.
These wretched creatures have no tactics; they dully charge in and kill every living thing.
