Special abilities

A zhogg is a lizard that vaguely resembles a human. It has long legs with straight claws and a maw full of needle-like teeth, from which green slime drips. It lives alone or in pairs in dark forests and swamps. In spring the female lays about five eggs, from which the young hatch after a month; young zhoggs, however, are so frenzied that at most one of the whole clutch survives. For an animal it is very clever and can even make simple tools.

Combat

A zhogg attacks suddenly with a leap from the shadows, pounces on its prey and tries to tear it apart with its maw. The slime in its maw is poisonous and paralyzes the victim. It is very ferocious and often attacks even more numerous enemies. It flees a hopeless fight, but as long as it has even a slight hope of victory, it keeps fighting.
