Appearance

Similarly to personality, we also describe the character's appearance.

Beauty

A character's beauty determines their looks, especially the face, but also the overall figure. Here we must point out that beauty is a very relative concept - what one person likes, another may not. Each race has its own standards of appearance, while humans and barbarians belong to one group and elves have similar standards. Another group is formed by imps, gnomes and dwarves.

The GM determines the influence of beauty on the characters' negotiation at their own discretion; for hideous and ugly we give examples of how it can work:

Beauty
Lvl Description
-3 hideous
cause fear +5, negotiation -5
-2 ugly
cause fear +2, negotiation -2
-1 plain-looking
0 average, ordinary
+1 pretty
+2 beautiful, draws attention
+3 charming, gorgeous, draws attention, everyone remembers them

Impression, authority

A character can make various impressions on others - one is nice and friendly and easily befriends everyone, another is stubborn or seems threatening to those around.

The effect of the impression again depends on the GM's discretion and on how the character is played; a nice character cannot suddenly beat or kill others.

Note: Impression is related to some extent to the character's charisma - an impression of -2 will be "commanding" for a charismatic sorcerer, and "dangerous" for a darg.

Lvl Description
-3 intimidating, authoritative
command or intimidation +5, but has no friends
-2 dangerous, commanding (has a hard gaze, always looks grim)
-1 grumpy, hard
0 average, ordinary
+1 pleasant
+2 friendly
+3 everyone likes them at first sight (only good characters can have this)

Height, Weight and Age

Choose how big your character will be according to their race. Under your race you will find the dimensions of average individuals. Your character can be up to a quarter smaller or bigger (by agreement with the GM even more different). The average height and weight of women is for all races somewhat lower than for men.

Similarly to height and weight, choose the character's age at the time they first set out on an adventure.

Left and right hand

Choose whether your character will be right-handed or left-handed, or determine it with a die roll:

Determining the main hand
Roll 1d6 Result
1-5 The character is right-handed
6 The character is left-handed
