Darg
Dargs form a subgroup of the great nation of giants. Unlike their wild tribesmen, they have gained a little reason and can live in a group without killing each other. They grow to a height of two and a half metres and have a low flat forehead, massive brow ridges and a weak chin.
Of all the common races, dargs are by far the wildest, strongest, toughest and also the most stupid. They are not very fond of their wilder relatives, the giants, and often fight them. They dwell in inhospitable wastelands - on glaciers, the snowy plains of the arctic, parched deserts or inaccessible jungles.
They live in villages made of tents of animal hides. Each village is inhabited by one clan - several related families led by a clan chieftain. Most clans fight each other constantly and steal each other's women. These fights significantly reduce the number of dargs, and few of them live to the age of thirty.
They know nothing but fighting - every darg worthy of his race will gladly walk twenty kilometres just to fight another darg who is passing by.
Despite their belligerence they are very superstitious and distrustful of everything they cannot smash or kill. On the other hand they are very close to their gods, whom they worship zealously.
Dargs have very sharp senses, especially hearing and smell.
According to legend, wise and beautiful giants live in the world who are distant relatives of the dargs. The truth of this claim can be confirmed or denied today by very few sages.
