Gnome
Gnomes are smaller relatives of dwarves. Like them, they live in the mountains and mine coal, ores and precious stones. They are very inventive and constantly investigate something. They try to learn, explore and describe everything and uncover all the secrets of the world. They are drawn above all to alchemy and to the mysteries of sorcery.
They are always working on something, but more than money or the usefulness of things, they are interested in their essence. In this they quite clearly differ from dwarves and all other races. Many a gnome will also gladly take a detour if something comes up that they have not yet seen or do not know.
Gnomes are a very talkative people; they like to listen to themselves, and so they explain everything over and over again. The common gnome enjoys company, all the more so if that company listens to them. If they have no such opportunity, they may end up talking to themselves. A real catastrophe ensues when two or more gnomes meet and start debating something.
The gnomish skill at bargaining is very famous (which is also why they are successful merchants), though this can be attributed less to their abilities than to the desire of others to stop the torrent of the gnome's words.
