Human
Humans hardly need much introduction. They are very versatile and can adapt to almost any environment and situation. They quickly change their customs and get used to a new situation (compared to other races practically instantly), and with that their opinions and character change as well. It is also typical of humans that they think neither of the past nor of the future.
They learn quickly and forget easily, which has two consequences: they easily invent new things and approaches, but they cannot learn from their mistakes. This leads to frequent wars among themselves and with other races, which, on the contrary, never forget and keep a close eye on humans. Humans quickly and easily make up for the consequences of their rashness and warfare with their numbers. Within a few decades they can multiply their numbers, overpopulate an area, which inevitably leads to an invasion of another area and another war. That war thins their ranks and humans again have enough room for further breeding and replenishing their numbers. The next generation forgets everything and the situation repeats over and over.
Division of humans
If humans live in certain conditions for a very long time, thanks to their adaptability they change or evolve. The attributes they use develop, while others wither. Civilized humans who fall into barbarism can thus become stronger and more warlike within ten generations, but they lose their workmanship and will not be as clever. The same applies in reverse.
When choosing a human character, choose which subgroup they come from:
— civilized
— highlander (northerner)
— nomad
Humans from civilization
The largest part of the human population lives in villages and towns. They pursue many activities, from farming through crafts to study and art. Thanks to, or precisely because of, this they are completely versatile and do not excel over other races in any activity, with a single exception: they are very pious. Civilized humans surpass other races in their piety, which can be seen in the number of shrines and temples, when often even the most remote hamlet has its own shrine. Many humans also take up the priestly path.
Summary of abilities
Aptitude for learning
Civilized humans learn very readily, and so they have a +1 bonus to every skill they take up (in priesthood this bonus is already included).
In addition, they gain 2 points of hidden talent.
Piety
Humans are very pious, and so they gain a +4 bonus to priesthood (if they open it).
Attribute base
Humans have a base of 0 in all attributes.
Highlanders and northerners (barbarians)
Humans living in the mountains or harsh northern regions (on Illiador, on the contrary, in the far south) form a numerous and very resilient group of the population. The harsh conditions have carried out natural selection among them, and so these people are distinguished by enormous strength and endurance, have sharp senses, and know the wilderness and hunting excellently. From early childhood they are raised for combat, because only strong warriors survive and can defend their people. That is why there is little room among them for learned people, the artistically gifted or craftsmen, because their first concern is survival and there is not much time left for anything else.
A simpler life has led these people to a simpler understanding of the world and of life. They scheme, lie and intrigue far less, but they are much more impulsive and act even much faster and more recklessly. Many then regret their deeds, but soon forget about it and their descendants calmly repeat the same mistake.
For their wild appearance, inclination to fight and little talent for art and science, civilized humans call them barbarians.

Nomads
Nomads inhabit deserts and steppes, where they raise herds, which they follow from place to place. It is said of them that they are born in the saddle, because no one can match their horsemanship. They stick together closely, but they do not much like strangers. Once someone befriends them, however, it is a friendship for life and death. Just as they can become good friends, they can also be mortal enemies (which they are much closer to). Their enmity goes beyond the grave and they never forgive.
