Sending prayers
You can send any prayer that your god provides (you do not need to learn it in any complicated way; it is enough to utter it).
Each god supports one or more domains, sometimes without limit, sometimes only up to a certain level.
Your knowledge of a domain determines how powerful the prayers you can attempt to send are, and at the same time it cannot be higher than your god supports.
If you do not know a domain, you cannot send any prayer from it.

Success of prayers
Whether your god hears you depends on the difficulty of the prayer, your priesthood and above all on favour:

Procedure
Add up your priesthood and your bonuses, subtract penalties and roll for success. The GM rolls for the difficulty, weighs the bonus (penalty) for long-term favour and tells you the result.
Adjustments
You can adjust a prayer, and so increase its range or remove the need to recite it aloud. For this, however, you get a certain penalty (see Basics — Descriptions).
Difficulty
The difficulty of sending a prayer depends on its level (more precisely 5x the level) and ranges from 5 for the simplest up to 35 for the hardest. In the Basics chapter you will find a table of prayer difficulties by level.
Total Success
Your god looks upon you very favourably. The prayer they heard is much stronger than you hoped. Choose from the options according to the chapter Basics - Procedure.
Fatal Failure
The effect of a fatal failure with prayers is completely unpredictable. Often nothing happens. The god's affection may worsen, in worse cases even the long-term one. Exceptionally, cases have been recorded where the god personally killed the presumptuous priest with lightning or another terrible force.
Uttering a prayer
You must utter your prayers aloud in a clear voice. If you cannot or do not want to speak aloud, you can send a prayer without words. For that, however, you will have a greater penalty to success.
