Sansri - serpent goddess
Balance: Neutral to chaos
Inclination: Neutral
Sansri likes to take the form of a seductive woman clad in light, translucent clothes, and that is how many mortals have seen her. When enraged, she appears as a nine-headed hydra.
Goals and intentions of the cult
The serpent cult is not among the widespread religions; it has influence mainly in tropical regions.
The ways and conduct of the priests often resemble the behavior of snakes - they crawl inconspicuously along the ground and strike suddenly. This is exactly how the cult acts - it does not draw attention to itself needlessly, but strikes hard at the right moment. Their goal is to spread the power of Sansri as far as possible and defeat the other cults. Sansri's rival is Nefelktrah, and fights often break out between their priests.
Temples
The temples of Sansri are built as tall towers decorated with reliefs of snakes. Inside live priests and snakes in the service of Sansri. Ordinary worshipers have no access here - the priests go out to spread the faith among the people, and the temple serves only for rites of invocation and for training priests.
In lands that are not favourable to Sansri, the temples are disguised and are usually located underground. Often the upper part serves as a fake temple of some forgotten god, and in the lower part is Sansri's actual sanctuary.
The serpent goddess delights in beautiful things, and her priests therefore gather treasures in the temples in her honor. Here it is possible to find considerable wealth, which is, however, guarded by priests and snakes.
Weapons
The basic weapon of Sansri's followers is a curved dagger shaped like a serpent's fang, which can be dipped in poison. They either fight with the dagger at close range or can throw it (for throwing they also keep knives in reserve). Sansri's second weapon is the staff, with which they can fight, control snakes, or use it for prayers or rituals.
