Passing Out | Heroes of Fantasy

Passing Out

If a character suffers damage of 2 or more levels from a single hit, they roll for passing out. With a stun attack, damage of 1 level is enough.

Pass-out roll
Shock resistance + 2d6 / 13 + attacker's stun creation
Failure: 10 minutes knocked out for each point you fall short

Shock resistance is based on constitution; the attacker's stun creation is increased by some feats and maneuvers (e.g. stun attack +5).

Note:

— Subtract your wound penalty (and fatigue and any other penalties) from the roll.

Example
Our party was once ambushed on the road by several bandits with crossbows. Glenfir (endurance 5, shock resistance 7) tried to jump into the bushes, but a crossbow bolt hit him and dealt 14 points of damage.
He takes 2 levels of damage and has to roll for passing out: to shock resistance 7 he adds 5 for the roll and subtracts 4 for wounds (7 + 5 - 4 = 8). He falls 5 short of difficulty 13, so he is unconscious for 50 minutes.
