Total Success
The result you achieve may be unusually successful. When picking locks, the thief happens to find a hidden trap; in arm wrestling, he humiliates his opponent; when casting, the caster's spell will be more effective.
If on a skill or attribute roll you beat the difficulty or opponent by 10, a total success occurs.
Example
Ultor wants to roll away a stone with a difficulty of 5. He rolls a total of 16, so a total success occurs. The GM tells him that he tossed the heavy stone aside with one hand.An angry merchant chases the thief Spider. He wins the contest roll with a total success, which means he caught Spider after just a few meters without even getting out of breath.
