Crafting

Sometimes honest work may serve you better than martial art, survival in harsh conditions or a silver tongue, because without a forger there is no forgery, without knowledge of cooking no good meal, without a tanner no flayed hides to sell, etc. This skill states how skilled you are in crafts (manual work), i.e. to what extent you excel in mining, pottery, blacksmithing, tanning and the like.

The individual activities can be learned through the feats listed below.

Note: From the point of view of play, crafts are marginal and therefore do not cost much experience. In game terms it is not hard to master them, but in reality you will meet a master blacksmith only in big cities and a grandmaster hardly once in a lifetime. To learn such a level, you must have a teacher and practice the craft for a long time (which, after all, applies to all skills), so the GM may not allow you knowledge of a higher level at all.

Masterpiece

Making a masterwork piece takes 2 steps longer and you have a -10 penalty when making it.

As a master you can try to make your life's work, i.e. a grandmaster piece. For that you need 3 steps longer and you have a penalty of -20.
