Feats
Base attributes and race give a character the aptitude to use a skill, but they can do many things only later, after they gain experience in the given field. Within the game rules we say they learn new feats.
Each feat costs several skill points (SP). You get them both from basic training and from increasing the skill.
For every 3 points of basic training you have one skill point (SP)
For every 2 skill increases in play you get one SP.
From the 8th increase you get an extra point, i.e. at the 8th, 10th and 12th increase you get 2 SP
From the 14th increase you get another extra point, i.e. at the 14th, 16th and 18th increase you get 3 SP
From the 20th increase you get another extra point, i.e. at the 20th, 22nd and 24th increase you get 4 SP
| Increase | SP gained | Total SP gained | (Total exp spent*) | (Exp / 1 point) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2. | 1 | 1 | 6 | 6 |
| 4. | 1 | 2 | 20 | 14 |

| 14. | 3 | 12 | 210 | 18 |
| 16. | 3 | 15 | 272 | 20 |
| 18. | 3 | 18 | 342 | 23 |

Some feats require your character to know something else. In such a case they list a „Condition”. The condition is usually knowledge of other feats of the given skill or directly knowledge of another skill.
Knowledge level
Sometimes we need to determine how deep a character's knowledge is, for example which spells or recipes they may know.
For that we use the knowledge level. We usually count it within some subgroup / area
Repeated learning
If the feat name includes a number in brackets (2x, 3x), you can learn the feat several times and gain greater advantages for it. Otherwise each feat can be learned at most once.
Combining bonuses
Unless stated otherwise, you can combine bonuses from different feats and skills. Where this is not possible, it is explicitly stated.
Talent points
For every 3 games you get a talent point, which you can exchange for a skill point in any skill. In this way you can gain at most 3 SP in one skill.
Note: Humans have 5 talent points to start with. A character who has no magical skill at the start has 3 talent points (again, the limit of 3 talent points per skill applies).
